SOURCING SCHOOLS FOR SEN

SOURCING SCHOOLS

Everything at EHCP Schools is driven by a strong sense to help young people with special educational needs.  We apply the highest level of expertise in research, backed by consultants (all of whom are parents to children with additional needs), who understand your situation and that of your child, to find the right school for them.  We understand how critical early intervention is for children with additional needs, along with the right environment for them to be able to learn and achieve their potential.

WHO WE SUPPORT

We work closely with families to source the best schools for young people who are mainstream cognitively able with special educational needs, including ASD, PDA, ADHD, SPD, Depression & Anxiety, Attachment Disorder, Tourette's, Speech Language and Communication needs, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, SEMH, and school refusal.   We also work with families who are relocating to the UK who require help for special needs.

EHC plans
  • Securing SEN Support or reasonable adjustments in school

  • Helping families to apply for Education, Health & Care plans and liaise with the Local Authority

  • Supporting re-assessments of need for EHC plans

  • Logging Appeals for refusal to assess, or refusal to issue an EHC Plan.

Did you know 18.4% of British school children have special educational needs (SEN) and this has increased for the third consectuive year.  4.8% have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan, and of those the most common type of need is Autistic Spectrum Disorder.  For those with SEN Support , speech, language and communication needs is most common (Department for Education, January 2024).
